Las Vegas, Nevada – January 8, 2025 – Infrrd is excited to announce our exceptional participation in the prestigious IEEE Computing and Communication Workshop and Conference (CCWC) 2025, held from January 6–8, 2025, in Las Vegas. This milestone event not only showcased Infrrd’s leadership in Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) but also earned us the Best Presenter Award, a recognition of our team’s innovation and expertise in document analysis and advanced technologies.
Infrrd’s Groundbreaking Research
At this globally respected conference, Infrrd presented three pioneering papers that push the boundaries of document processing and analysis. Our team of brilliant researchers—Pratyusha Rasamsetty, Srirama Nakshathri, Saiteja Tallam, Deepak Kumar, Navaneeth Amarnath, and JiangLong He—delivered impactful solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in document workflows.
1. Automating Scale Extraction From Engineering Drawings: A Multi-Step Vision and Text Approach
This paper introduces a novel multi-step process for detecting scales in engineering diagrams. By combining advanced vision algorithms with text-to-formula conversion techniques, we’ve developed a solution that allows for precise estimation of real-world dimensions from technical drawings.
2. Multi-Stage Retriever Model for Document Classification Using Fine-Tuned Embeddings
In a large-scale document classification study, we tackled the challenge of accurately retrieving specific document types from a vast database. Through fine-tuning open-source large language model (LLM) embeddings, we’ve enhanced the accuracy and relevance of classification, even in datasets with a high volume of document classes.
3. Can RAG Calibrate LLMs for Information Extraction Tasks?
This research addresses the challenge of overconfidence in LLM-based information extraction tasks. By leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), we have developed a method to calibrate LLM predictions, improving their confidence scores and ensuring more reliable and consistent named entity extraction.
A Prestigious Recognition: Best Presenter Award
The Best Presenter Award is a testament to the excellence of our research and the impact Infrrd is making in the field of Intelligent Document Processing. This accolade honors not just our innovative ideas but also the clarity and precision with which we presented our research, demonstrating thought leadership in the IDP industry.
